SELF-PACED ONLINE COURSE 

Target Group: Development professionals who DO NOT have formal training in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) but are involved in managing and implementing development programmes. Additionally this course is suited for persons new to the M&E field and students. The course consists of 2 modules and is self-paced.  There are NO live sessions. The video is a preview of the course.

At the end of this module you will:

 

  • Know what monitoring is

  • Know what evaluation is

  • Be able to tell the difference between ‘monitoring’ and ‘evaluation’

  • Be informed of traditional monitoring versus results-based monitoring

  • Grasp the reasons and the importance of engaging in monitoring and evaluation

  • Know what a Results Chain is

  • Be able to distinguish among activities, input, output, outcome and impact

  • Be able to develop proper indicators

  • Know of the Logical Framework Approach
